PROBLEM RIDDEN 24H FOR TOPCATS

After a very promising start of the weekend for the British Topcats Racing team, the 24 hour race was a big disappointment. Starting from pole position on Saturday afternoon the Mosler team was hoping for a good result after last years gear box troubles. Unfortunately only a few laps into the race the engine cooling system caused troubles and a lengthy pit stop was needed to fix the issues. With still over 22 hours to go hopes on a podium finish had yet not vanished.

A few hours later however several problems hit the team and an engine swap was necessary. After the mechanics put in some great work to get the car on track again the Mosler showed its potential by recording the overall fastest laptime of the race, over half a second quicker ahead of its nearest rival. Just past the twelve hour mark troubles struck again and the car had to be parked, unable to continue.

The race was won by a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup S, entered by First Motorsport.
