MOSLER CHALLENGE NEWS

ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY

Following the cancellation of his flight home, whilst enjoying a 'friendly' game of football with son Marcus, 2008 DSC GT and Mosler champion Martin Short suffered a couple of nasty broken bones after a crushing fall.

After emergency surgery that night on a broken wrist, he woke to find a state-of-the-art arm extender screwed into his arm, which will hold the hand in place for correct repair. This will be removed early next week and the arm set in a cast for full recovery.
Further damage to Martin's broken kneecap has now received further treatment with reinforced leg brace to keep everything in place, and can now enable Martin to be a great deal more mobile and walk in reasonable comfort.

Meanwhile, the Icelandic volcano, indirect cause of the problems continues to play havoc with plans to return to England as flights across Europe continue to be disrupted, and at present the family are 'cruelly' stranded in Spain on an enforced break.
Although extremely unlikely to be fit to take part in the next two rounds of Supercar Challenge, Martin is optimistic that his recovery will be straightforward and is looking forward to getting back behind the wheel. Whether he will be allowed back into British GT is not clear. He is seeking homologation on all the metalwork.

Get well soon!
