The weekend of October 24th and 25th sees the TT circuit at Assen, the Netherlands, host the Slam!FM Finaleraces. A broad variety of classes and cars will be on track. Not only the Dutch Supercar Challenge will race for the final points of the year, but the amazingly fast Superkarts, the action packed Youngtimers and the silhouette cars of the Benelux Racing League as well. Saturday afternoon the Begian Dunlop Sportmaxx Endurance Cup will race for no less than two and a half hours with a field consisting of spectacular cars like a Porsche Bi-Turbo, a Mosler MT900GTR and a Viper GTS.

In the GT class of the main act of the weekend, the Dutch Supercar Challenge, three teams are still fighting for the top spot. After a start crash in the Saturday race at Spa eliminated Martin Short, Cor Euser drove his Marcos LM600 to the win on both Saturday and Sunday. Mosler driver Martin Short failed to score on Saturday, but had a magnificent race in the rain on Sunday. He started from the last row on the grid but was able to overtake a stunning 30 cars on the first lap and finish an amazing second, just behind Euser. Meanwhile Robbert de Graaff and Philippe Ribbens took advantage of Shorts misfortune on Saturday and scored a second place. On Sunday the Viper drivers were not able to keep Short behind, but still scored a nice third position at the finish.
With just the two races at Assen to go the GT class crown is still within reach for leader Cor Euser in a Marcos, last years champion Martin Short in his Mosler MT900R and the Viper drivers De Graaff and Ribbens. Some tense but fair racing is expected, as all three teams will do everything to win the title.
