This weekend sees double action with Britcar 500 meeting at Silverstone and the Dutch Supercar Challenge in Spa Francorchamps

This weekend sees the return of Britcar to Silverstone on the Grand Prix Circuit. A decision early in the season to suspend the traditional 24hr race due to the economic climate has seen the highlight of the meeting being replaced with a six hour GT race on Saturday which will race into the night.
In a flourishing field, the Rollcentre Racing MOMO Mosler MT900R will be driven by Paul White and Calum Lockie. Both are new to Mosler and both are keen to have a good time but want to be competitive at the front of the field.
White and Lockie have shared the drive in the Rockingham rounds of the Championship earlier in the season in the Strata 21 Porsche Cup car. Calum Lockie is a former British GT and Britcar Champion and will be driving with Paul White himself an experienced GT4 driver, although more familiar competing in his Aston Martin, with which he had a win last time out at Britcar Snetterton.

Other Mosler entries in the Britcar 500 are Sean and Michael McInerney with Phil Keen for Eclipse Motorsport, and completing the triple Mosler lineup will be the Topcat Racing/Runnymede Racing team with Andrew Beaumont, Pat Gormley and Ben Clucas.
Meanwhile across the Channel, Martin Short will be back to the Dutch Supercar Challenge at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, the circuit officials having temporarily settled the problems which briefly closed the circuit, following ongoing contentious local noise issues. After a long break, the championship is drawing to a thrilling climax with Short, and Calum Lockie’s former driving partner, Cor Euser, battling it out at the top of the DSC. Going into the penultimate meeting Martin has a one point advantage over Cor Euser.
The lay-off has been used wisely by Rollcentre, with the car of Berry van Elk over in the UK for repairs and maintenance, and the team working hard on Martin Short’s Mosler to ensure it is in tip top condition for the final two meetings.

Along side Short and Van Elk, there are also Mosler entries from The Woodcock Brothers, Kevin Riley and Guino Kenis. If you wish to attend the race you can do so for free by clicking on the link below and downloading an entry ticket.
Martin Short says “We are delighted that Paul and Calum will be driving the MOMO Mosler in the forthcoming round of Britcar 500 and wish them all the best for a good solid performance. The Rollcentre Team will be there in support of the team car, and supporting the other teams fielding Mosler cars, and I look forward to hearing of a one, two, three on the podium! Meanwhile, I shall be enjoying be back behind the wheel at Spa in the DSC challenge sorting out Mr Euser!’’
