This weekend the Dutch Supercar Challenge will visit the Belgian track of Spa Francorchamps for rounds 13 and 14 of the championship. Besides the largest GT and touring car championship of the Netherlands with over 50 cars expected, the spectacular Legend Cars Cup, the Ginetta G20's, the action packed Renault Clio Cup, Lotus on Track, Caterham and the young and rising talents of the Formula Renault 2.0 will be there. In none of the four well filled classes of the Dutch Supercar Challenge the championship has been decided yet. Martin Short is defending his GT class crown in his Mosler MT900R against Dutch ace Cor Euser, who will be driving his regular Marcos "La Bomba" LM600. After twelve of this seasons sixteen races they are separated by only one point, so both will be giving everything to ensure the maximum result. After a challenging start of the season, Robert de Graaff and Philippe Ribbens are getting quicker by the weekend. Driving their yellow ETEC Dodge Viper SRT10 they are still looking for the first win of the season. Meanwhile Berry van Elk wants to prove his win at Spa earlier this year was not a fluke. Unfortunately he had a big shunt last race at Assen, but Mosler Europe repaired the car so the young Dutch driver should be competitive.

At the moment of publication there are five Moslers on the entry list. Apart from Martin Short and Berry van Elk, the Woodcock brothers, Kevin Riley and Guino Kenis are expected to race in the Dutch Supercar Challenge.

Porsche drivers Nol Köhler en Henk Haane are topping the table in the Supersport I class by a fair margin over René Wijnen and Pieter Dubois in their Renault Megane Cup car. It is yet unclear what car they will be driving since the Megane ended a promotional demo run in a moat. Kees Kreijne is currently sharing third place in his Aston Martin Vantage with last years Supersport I champion Henk Thuis driving his Porsche 997 GT3.

In Supersport II things are very close. The leading car is the Saker Sportscar GT of Bob Herber and Milko Tas, but they have just a small margin over Bert van der Zweerde and his BMW M3 GTR. 2008 overall Dutch Supercar Challenge winner Pieter van Soelen with a BMW 132 GTR is still in the running as well. This season they all proved capable of winning, so we should be in for some close but fair racing.

The talented duo Koen Bogaerts and Nik de Jong are close to clinching the Sport division championship in a BMW E36 M3, but they will have to finish ahead of BMW 130i driver Laurens de Wit who proved to be one of the big revelations this season. Resistance should be expected from Aart Bosman driving the Lotus Exige Cup 240 of last years Sport I champion Luc de Cock.
